Minzu University of China is a "Double First-Class" Category A university in China, known for its distinctive multi-ethnic character. As educational philosophies evolve and learning styles diversify, how to provide every student and faculty member with a truly undisturbed space for focus within an open and shared environment has become a new challenge in campus space management.

Reading rooms are perpetually oversubscribed; corridors and passageways remain underutilized, serving merely as thoroughfares; and when faculty and students need impromptu discussions, they struggle to find a space that is both private and considerate of others. To address these pain points, Minzu University of China has introduced Glawall office pods, revitalizing overlooked corners across the campus.
At the corners of library reading areas and at the ends of teaching building corridors,
Glawall office pods stand quietly. Constructed with multi-material composite wall panels,
they achieve speech noise reduction of over 30 decibels as tested by SGS.

The 4-person pod, equipped with a display screen and a booking system, is ideal for group discussions and project collaboration. When course groups need to brainstorm, research teams require impromptu meetings, or students are preparing competition proposals together, they no longer need to worry about "finding a suitable place."

By reserving a time slot in advance through the booking system and connecting ![]()
to the display screen to share materials upon entering the pod, every discussion
is kept efficient and well-organized.

The 6-person pod is also equipped with a display screen and a booking system, offering a dedicated space for larger-scale team collaboration.

Whether for interdisciplinary project meetings, student society strategy discussions, or small-group academic mentoring between faculty and students, the pod offers an undisturbed space for all. The large display makes information sharing more intuitive, while the booking system ensures fairer resource allocation.

Thanks to their modular design, Glawall office pods can be flexibly deployed in every corner of the campus—beside library reading areas, in quiet corridor corners, or even at the ends of previously overlooked passageways. No civil engineering or structural alterations are required to rapidly add "micro-seminar rooms" and "personal focus pods." These once underutilized "dormant spaces" are now activated as high-value venues for study and collaboration.

This not only alleviates the strain on campus space resources but also gives every student and faculty member fair access to private, efficient learning spaces.
